Hi. I'm in a museum with a very BCBG friend pointing to a display of stone age cave dwellers. "You wouldn't like them, they don't know how to use a knife and fork properly."

"Ils ne savent pas se servir correctement des couverts" ?

    Thanks.

Hi, you could also say Ils ne savent pas se servir d'un couteau et d'une fourchette. I am not saying this is better than your own suggestion.

    Hi,
    I would translate by
"ils ne savent pas se tenir a table" which of course is a very free translation.
