variation in?

    In the following sentence: "meat and vegetable stew with a variation in the ingredients", I mean to say that it´s the same stew but has different ingredients, the question is if the prepositon "in" is the right one for the sentence.

    Yes, it's fine. You could also say "to the ingredients," but "in" is probably better.
