    Hello colleagues:

I am looking for an idiom or expression in English to convey the idea expressed in Spanish by the following:

    2) Ver la paja en el ojo ajeno y no la viga en el propio. Meaning, someone who is quick at finding faults even small ones when it comes to other people, but "blind" at his own faults or mistakes made.

    Thanks for your help.

    Carlos

Actually, given that this is taken from the Gospel of Matthew 7:3-5, you can translate directly:

"To see the straw in your brother's eye, and not the rafter in your own."
