    Buenas tardes, foreros:
¿Cómo se diría lo siguiente en inglés?
Carlos y María llevan cuatro años viviendo en unión libre.

Union libre= Without having been married either in a church or in a registry.

Mi intento: Carlos y María have been living together/ living in free union for four years.

    Gracias de antemano. ¡Saludos!

I think you could also translate "unión libre" as "cohabitating".
