voyant / non-voyant

    What's the politically correct way to translate this, please?

    sighted/seeing and blind sounds NOT right.

    What sounds wrong with sighted and blind?
    It's probably "visually handicapped" and "visually able". I don't see there's an improvement there, myself.

    In another sense could non-voyant mean inconspicuous?

    can one say "non-seeing people / persons" ?

    "Non-seeing" sounds awkward in a way that "visually impaired" doesn't.

    I'd say "seeing and visually impaired" if I had to do it today.
