does anyone know the meaning of this word used in the context "la voz tipluda"?
I think it is the same as "atiplada" which the RAE defines as follows
(Del part. de atiplar).
1. adj. Dicho de la voz o de un sonido: Agudo, en tono elevado."
This could be translated as "high-pitched, piercing" (source: WR)
