    We can't tell you what you should reply. However, if you write your own reply, we can tell you whether it works as an answer to that question.

    You should also tell us what particular part of your answer worries you. It will give us an idea of what you understand, and what you still need to have explained.

    i'm not new to the firm,and my stituation is :i'm just beginning to join the new project,and the mail i should reply was sent by the project manager.

    Ah, so the other person is going to be your superior. You can certainly afford to be more effusive if you wish to. Maybe even along the lines of 'Thank you, I'm delighted to be working with/under you' or '.. to be in your team'.
