Can someone tell me the difference between Welfare and Well-being please?

Can someone also confirm me that you don't write wellbeing, except for people magazine where spelling is uncorret everywhere...?

Welfare (governmental assistance) can also be the mean promote wellbeing.
    The spelling welbeing seems right.

note : People (Magazine) is a brand name (capital letter), not the translation of the French "magazine pipeule" ;)

"Wellbeing" / "Well-being" is synonymous with one definition of "Welfare", which you can find using the "English definition" look-up on this site.

The second definition of "welfare" is money given by the government to those living in poverty.
