We're stuck with each other

    How would you translate the idiom meaning "There is a social relationship/contract/duty that obliges us/binds us to one another (it has been fate, from the beginning) whether we like it or not"? This can be used for romantic/marital relationships, but also for others such as being in a team, close friendship, or a (metaphorical) family.
