    Hello forer@s!

Here is an English riddle. I would like to know if it can successfuly be translated into Spanish and still remain a riddle.

If you know the answer to the riddle, don´t give it away (yet) ;)

Old English riddle: "What goes up a chimney down but can´t go down a chimney up?"

    Mi intento

¿Qué pasa por una chimenéa arriba bajo pero no por la chimenea abajo arriba?

    NOTE
Sorry the title of the thread was wrong. The correct version is above.

Hmm ... Yes that is one possible translation but not one that fits the riddle (at least I don´t think so)

I may have to think again! Sorry :( my fault!

Here is the answer to the English version of the riddle "What goes up a chimney down but not down a chimney up"

In English when we have opened an umbrella we say that the umbrella is "up" and, when we have closed an umbrella we say the umbrella is "down"

So an umbrella can go up a chimney when it is "down" but it can´t go down a chimney when it is "up"

The answer to the riddle is "an umbrella"
