    Hi everyone,

Does this sentence sound correct tense-wise?

"I'm wondering whether you have received the email that I had sent you."

    Thank you.

You don't need past perfect 'had sent' - that would be appropriate if you had sent it before some other event in the past. But perfect 'have received' is a present state. Even if you used simple past 'received', we all know that sending comes before receiving, so you don't need to indicate the sequence of times with 'had sent'. Simple 'sent' is better.

THank you so much for your reply, entanglebank.

Then I'll just write "I'm wondering whether you received the email that I sent you."
