I have to write an email and I'm writing it for someone else, I mean I want to specify I'm doing a favor to someone else.

How should I say that in English?

    Scrivo per conto di...

I'd suggest "on behalf of" so that the phrase would be rendered as "I am writing on behalf of..."

Yes, thank you. It sounds a little bit formal, but that should be the best way.

    Thanks again DDT! :)

You could say "In so & so's interest I'm writing etc." or "For the sake of etc." :)
