I would like to know how this idiomatic way to talk about numbing medicines is used in Arabic. The "under" definitely gives the image of the patient subdued by the anesthesia and I would like to keep that in Arabic. I am not sure if a simple تحت will be the best translation other than for literal purposes.

    Is it in fact?

    ستكون تحت التخدير العام

    شكرا جزيلا

    It's more common to say
    ستكون تحت تأثير التخدير العام

If it's about "talking", then allow me to mention the Egyptian common way to refer to this:
    حتاخد بنج كلي
7ataakhod beng(e) kolli. (versus "beng goz2i" بنج جزئي).
