I'm working on translating this phrase:é

¿Qué más da que da lo mismo?

Is it something like " What does it matter if the result is the same?"

It is from an article entitles " Ellos son de Venus, y ellas de Marte" and the sentence preceding the one is question is "¿O era al revés?"

Thanks for any help.

You are right, that's the sense of "Que más dá?, which is an idiomatic expressión to say "what does it matter?" when you're in a crossroads and have to decide something that basically will have the same result no matter your choice.

I also think your translation is right, but the Spanish sentence is not correct. It should say: ¿Qué más da si da lo mismo?
The si is the conjuction if. It's like saying "Si da lo mismo, ¿que más da?"
