Wondering how best to convey 'à bientôt!' when used as a sign-off at the end of a formal (UN, human rights-related) newsletter... 'Bye for now', 'until next time!' etc all seem too informal for the context. I'm sure there's a phrase in English that would work but I can't quite put my finger on it.

    Thanks for your help!

'A bientôt' is quite informal. 'Until next time' sounds like a lovely translation to me.

I agree with Mathilde. I would not dream of writing "à bientôt" at the end of a formal letter.

That was exactly what was bothering me. But if we're agreed that it sounds out of place in French, then I guess the translation will have to sound that way too. Thanks for your help!
