à cheval sur une frontière

    Bonjour,

    Je cherche à traduire l'expression "à cheval sur plusieurs territoires" voici la phrase complète :

    "Les monts d’Aubrac sont à cheval sur plusieurs départements et plusieurs régions"

    je ne sais pas trop comment traduire, je dirais...
    "The Aubrac mounts sit astride several departments and different regions"

    est-ce correct ?

    Je dirais "straddle several departments"
    (mais ce n'est pas l'avis d'un native speaker)

    I would definitely say "straddles".

    Also, Aubrac, the Aubrac, the Aubrac region, the mountains of Aubrac, and the Aubrac mountains all sound more natural than the Aubrac mounts.


    (You can leave out "different" - but I'm off-topic, I know. :) )
