émulsion cassis

< Previous | Next >
Again with some translation problems in the menus...
I wonder whether "émulsion cassis" (for a dessert) could be translated by blackcurrant sauce, because when I hear / see the word "sauce", it is connected with meat or vegetables but not dessert.
Can anyone tell me, please ? Thanks in advance.

The English word sauce can be a sweet or savoury liquid (or sweet-and-sour, like mint sauce - yummy!). Whether "émulsion cassis" is actually a sauce or a topping depends on where it's poured: a topping is of course on top, so this is a sauce.
