Сделал каплю добра

I am struggling with the translation of a phrase by Leo Tolstoy: "Нет в мире прекраснее чувства, чем ощущение, что ты сделал людям хоть каплю добра".
I've come up with the following version: "There is no more beautiful feeling in the world than the feeling of having done even a drop of good deed to people". Does it make sense in English? My main difficulty is “a drop of good deed” that is in Tolstoy’s text literally is “a drop of kindness”. But I doubt that one can say in English “to do a drop of kindness to somebody”. At the same time if I go for “a drop of good deed” I lose the meaning of “kindness” implied by the author.

Thank you!
