Типун тебе на язык, ведьма!

Could anyone please translate this sentence "tipun tebe ma yazyk ved'ma" as politely as possible? I think it is Russian and i have a feeling it is insulting so i apologise if i just wrote something offensive!

    Yes, it's Russian. Exact translation would be something like "have a blister on your tongue, witch", but actually it's quite an everyday expression (without the "witch", which here is an insult) and is used to silence someone saying, wishing or foretelling something bad.
