السلام عليكم
أبحث عن كلمات مصرية من أصل يوناني
ولا أريد المصطلحات المتخصصة ولا العلمية
فتوجد كلمات كثيرة أخذناها من الفرنسية والإيطالية والإنجليزية أصلها يوناني (مثل سينما)ـ
لكني أبحث فقط عن الكلمات الشائعة التي أخذناها مباشرة من اليونانيين

ما عندي حتى الآن

ترابيزة τραπέζι

كنبة καναπές
صفة - وقد يكونوا هم أخذوها من القبطية في الأصل

ليس لدي المزيد حاليا :( لكن بالتأكيد موجود


وجدت الموضوع قد طرح من قبل للدخائل اليونانية في العربية بشكل عام
لكن بعض الاقتراحات تقتصر على اللهجة المصرية

ليمان - λιμάνι
بلغم - Φλέγμα

    همممم!، كلمات من أصل يوناني توجد في اللهجة المصرية فقط؟     أعرف أن يوجد الكثير من الكلمات العربية من أصل يوناني ولكن كلمات التي تُستعمل على وجه التخصيص في اللهجة المصرية...     لست متأكدا منها. خطر على بالي الكلمات التالية (ولكنني أعرف أن لا تقتصر بعضها على اللهجة المصرية) :

    بابا (زعيم ديني): من     πάππας
    أسقف     (زعيم ديني): من ἐπίσκοπος
    قبط: من Αἰγύπτιος (وأيضا تصدر منها كلمة "Egypt" الإنجليزية)
    موسيقى: من μουσική
    أظن (ولست متأكدا 100%) إن خريطة من χάρτης
    كستنة (قسطل): ربما من κάστανο

    إذا افتكرت في كلمات أخرى فأشاركها.

    بالنسبة إلى "كنبة" فأنا دائما اعتقدت أنها من "canapé" الفرنسية. وربما كانت الكلمة الفرنسية من أصل يوناني. لا أعرف بعد الآن.     :confused:

    ياااا على فكرة انا عملت قايمة من الكلمات دول لما كنت ساكن في مصر عشان انا يوناني اصلا ولقيت كلمات كتير زاي كدة!

    :لا اتذكر كل الكلمات الان ولكن بالاضافة الى الكلمات فوق توجد ايضا التالي:
    فراولا - φράουλα - strawberry-

    فيه حاجة زاي "بسارية" يعني سمك صغير الى تاكل كله-

    Martin Hinds, in the introduction to his A Dictionary of Egyptian Arabic, suggests the following works as etymological references for Egyptian Arabic:

    Iskanderany, I see by your post that you are specifically searching words that are مصرية and not عربية in general. So I apologize that my suggestions were based off of the latter. This certainly makes the search a bit more esoteric... However, I must ask the forum this: Since the Islamic Empire was the inheritor and preserver of Hellenistic traditions and knowledge (as I remember learning in Islamic history in college), which places (cities, trade routes, regions) in the Arabophone world would we see having the greatest preservation of Ancient Greek words and therefore, influence of Greek on the modern dialect? Egypt must be one because of Alexandria...

    Is it enough to be qualified as an Egyptian Arabic word with Greek roots, if it was calqued by an Egyptian historical character? I am thinking of Tahtawi's تخليص الابريز في تلخيص باريز. His generation may be credited with bringing a lot of new words into the Arabic language from French and Italian but did these writers ever look directly to Ancient Greek for help in calqueing new words?. Since he and other writers of his generation are Egyptian I believe that these would qualify as the words you are looking for, if in fact it was their intention to look to Greek to coin new words.

    I do not have ample knowledge of the Egyptian dialect to know all of the daily words that could be from Greek roots but I am interested to know if Egypt was the "ground zero" for some Greek words' trajectory into the Arabic language.
     
    As far as I know the translation movement had its base in the levant, particularly Baghdad, so translations from ancient Greek headed west from there.

    What I am searching for is, perhaps, quite difficult to define; words that are not obviously from Greek which we use in our daily lives without thinking.

    All suggestions are valid and interesting nevertheless.

    جميع الكلمات الواردة هنا باستثناء "ترابيزة" هي كلمات عربية -بعضها ليست فصحى- الا انها لا تقتصر على اللهجة المصرية

     
    This is just an opinion, but I very much doubt that any specifically Egyptian Arabic words of the kind Iskandrani is looking for (NOT scientific or specialized words but instead, ordinary, everyday words) can realistically have had an origin in ancient (pre-Islamic) Greek.

    Instead, the kind of words Iskandrani seeks must have had their origin within the last couple of centuries, at most, when there was some "contact" between the 2 cultures. For example, the word TARABEZA (assuming it's Greek).....was that the word used in Egypt for "table" say around 1000 AD? When did the word make its first appearance in Egyptian Arabic? I bet it's an importation that occurred during the last 200 years, at most and that "medieval Egyptian Arabic" used an entirely different word for "table" on a daily basis. So I think we have to look for sources in "modern" Greek rather than "ancient Greek".
     
    I am not Egyptian but my neighbour in Jordan was Egyptian, and I know he used to say the word "كابورية" a lot, which means "crab" and this is definitely a greek word "καβούρι" (pronounced: Cavouri). It can also be said "κάβουρας" (pronounced: Cavouras) and the plural form of "καβούρι" is "καβούρια" (pronounced: Cavouria)

    I can´t remember any more words, If I do I will let you know.

    Certainly most types of non-fish seafood are shared between the entire mediterranean, including Egypt.
