Hi,

I know that the verb صعب sa'uba means "he was or became difficult". In that case, what is the difference between:

كان صعبا and صَعُبَ

and

هو صعب and يَصْعُبُ

I'd say that the main difference is the tense.
صَعُب means 'it became harder' and كان صعبا means 'it was difficult'. So, both are in the form of the past tense.

Whereas, يصعب (it becomes/ gets difficult) and هو صعب (it is difficult) are obviously in the present tense.
