“Studied ” line

I was reading a drawing tutorial book and came across a confusing sentence:
See if you can draw a straight line and then set down another parallel to it. That is a "studied" line.
What does "studied" mean here? Thank you very much!

    I suppose you would draw the second line more slowly, carefully, and consciously than the first.

    It's probably an exercise in looking at/studying something closely and then faithfully reproducing it.
