Taiwanese Mandarin
4時から予定があるのでその前の時間であれば大丈夫です。それか他の日ですね… (somehow I am struggling to understand this ka)
I'd like to ask that if I can rephrase the last sentence into
and that if this version without 丁寧語 sounds natural

    "それか他の日ですね…"
    "それか他の日ですね…"

    ”それか他の日かね… ”
    ”それか『他の日』、かね... "
"それか他の日...ね?...":confused: This sentence might be gray. And the nuance is somewhat different from others.

    I think:
The purple ka functions like "whether" or "if."
The red kane or ka and the orange ne function as a question maker, showing "wonder" or "ambivalence," or asking the agreement/confirmation.

All of them, I think, are correct and more or less the same, although the syntax of the sentences or the grammatical function of each ka is different.

No. The intonation is the same. Or I'd rather say that the second sentence doesn't exist. It was merely a grammatical consideration.

You asked if ですかね can be changed to かですね.
I answered it possible, but the two かs were different in their functions in the sentence.
If you only change the position of the ka (the question maker) of ですかね to before です ね, it seems weird or doesn't make sense.
But interpreting it as a different ka (whether, if), the sentence itself can still make sense.
Do you understand what I mean?
