I listened many times to the beginning part of a video clip and tried to transcribe and translate what the speaker says about Angela Aki. Could someone help me to translate the last sentence?

-Her father is a Japanese, Mother is an American, that is what Angela says.

-chuugakko made nippon de sodachimashita soshite juu-go sai no toki ni hawaii ni juu o shite
-Until middle school she was raised in Japan and at the age of 15 lived in Hawaii.

-soshite ototoshi nippon ni koko suru made washington diishii ni sunde ita n des ne
-And until the year before the last when started play in Japan, she lived in the Washington DC.

teda(?) suru toki ni jibotou(?) no raibu hausu ni tsuuyen(?) suru na doshite ongaku katsu(?) dou staatusu sasemashita

The subject of to iu is not Angela. This is more like an impersonal construction. Here, to iu works as the link between the sentence (father being Japanese and mother being American) to the noun (Anjera-san) that it modifies. The veracity of the sentence is not disputed.

- sonotoki-ni jimoto-no raibuhausu-ni shutsuen suru nado shite, ongakukatsudō-o sutāto sasemashita.
- That time, by appearing at local livehouses, she started her music activities (career).
