「……っ!」
士道は慌てて十香の口を塞ぐと、亜衣麻衣美衣に聞こえないような声で十香の耳元に囁きかけた。
「……すまん、十香、ちょっと訳ありでな。知らないふりをしてくれないか?」
「ぬ……?そ、そうなのか。うむ、わかったぞ。」

Hi. What impression or effect does the でな have? I suppose で is for explaining reasons but I’m not sure about the role of な.
Thanks for shedding any light.

    でな is an equivalent of でね in an old-fashioned or regional speech. I think I have been acquainted with the way Shidō usually speaks, and this utterance of his is definitely affected for sounding formal. Perhaps he has been influenced by Tōka, who is even more affected in her うむ.
