Yo, friends.
Reading this interview [Masami Suda, 北斗の拳の作画監督], I figure out I'm not sure if it's a dialogue, or a monologue.
xxx
I know のめりこむ has the acceptions "to be completely absorbed in" and "to bother someone about something".
So, when he talks: "ますますのめりこんでいく", I don't know if 芦田豊雄 said: 「絵コンテの通りにやれ」, 「もっとやれ」 or if Mr. Suda was just talking to himself [putting himself in Mr. Ashida's place].
Could you help me here again?
Thank you very much.

In this context, のめりこむ means "got completely absorbed" and that is a description,
not a monologue nor a dialogue (it is not enclosed in 「」, you see).
So Ashida told Suda to "follow the storyboards" and "you can do better than that".
Then Suda thinks "so it's okay to go this far?" and got himself absorbed even farther.

When I see "と。", I know I'll have problems to discern who talks and if it's a speech or a thinking.

    Good!
I think they need to draw rough pictures to create an animation film. Suda tries to improve or modify the first picture(絵コンテ) probably drawn by Ashida. But you know, Ashida says no and wants Suda to be consistent to the original one, which looks "overdone" work to Suda.

On the contrary. Here, it is indicated that there's sometimes a chance in which Ashida says もっとやれ, not no. I think Ashida wants to make it more aggressive.

Such a magical cooperation fascinated Suda.;)
    Roughly understandable?

Suda is going to fall for this cooperation?
I confess to understand のめりこむ and 夢中になる acceptions is a huge matter.
Sometimes, when I deal with のめりこむ and 夢中になる, I just get embarrassing translations.
