Hi there! I transcribed the sentences below from a podcast. The speaker is talking about Golden Week:
毎年ね、ゴールデンウイークはやっぱり、旅行に行ったりとか、遊びに行く人っていうのがすごく多くなるので、あの、色々なところでゴールデンウイークだけの特別なイベントをしているというところもたくさんあります。ただ、俺は、ゴールデンウイークって、みんなが旅行に行くから、どこに行ってもすっごく人が多くて、すごく込んでいるので、あんまりゴールデンウイークにどこかに行くのは好きじゃないんですけどね。(then, change of topic).

What is the nuance conveyed んですけどね here? I know that んですけど can follow a sentence expressing an introductory remark / background information, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Is it contributing to expressing the contrast first introduced by ただ?
