スペインのサルトル

Dear Japanese forum,

I'm trying to understand if a place named サルトル actually exists in Spain. In a cartoon, many people are suiciding one after the other due to Werther effect, and the WHO is counting the victims.

ドイツ、ケルンで2件、スペインのサルトルで1件
(Two cases in Cologne, Germany, one case in Saltor, Spain.)

I'd say it's a made-up name (Saltor? Sartor?), but the fact it's associated with the existing ケルン makes me think.
Also, there's a の particle that's missing in ドイツ、ケルン.

Does it ring a bell to any of you?

Thank you so much!

I knew about Sartre, but I don't think it's an intended pun. At least, I hope so!

    Thank your for your input!

I don't think there is an intended pun.
    I think it's merely a poorly made-up name.
The anther or cartoon maker could check a real name of a city on Google in a single instant, but they dare not.
They looked down on kids, deciding that they didn't know any city names of Spain. (This is my personal opinion, of course.)

That's my opinion too. Or it could be an intentionally altered version of some existing name.

However, knowing that it doesn't exist should be enough. Thank you very much!
