大家好!

Is there any difference between 丢人 and 丢脸 in Chinese? Are they used differently at all?
Thanks!

    沒考上大學很丢臉 (失面子, 失體面、失名譽), 但不丢人 (失去為人基本的、不容侵犯的尊嚴)

    丢脸: literally, lose your face
    丢人:literally, lose your whole life
丢人 is slightly more serious than 丢脸

    when you blame someone(offending):
    你可真丢人!idiomatic
    你可真丢脸!weird

    when you blame yourself:
    我太丢人了!idiomatic
    我太丢脸了!less widely used

when you blame a specific thing or action:
    这件事太丢人了!idiomatic
    这件事太丢脸了!ok but less widely used

so all the cases above, you'd better use 丢人 instead of 丢脸

    to feel ashamed:
    这真是一件让人感到丢脸的事!idiomatic
    这真是一件让人感到丢人的事!weird

    to make someone feel ashamed:
    别让你的父亲丢脸!idiomatic
    别让你的父亲丢人!too weird
you may do something wrong to make your father feel ashamed(丢脸) of you, but event if you had ruined the whole world, you cannot make your father feel 丢人

also, there is a set phrase: 丢人现眼

丟人 is only used on the person doing things that is humiliating. I would translate it as "humiliating","degrading"
丟臉 can be used on the one related to this humiliating things. I would translate it as "embarrassing/embarrassed", "disgraceful/shameful"
    e.g. 他在外面做了這麼多丟人的事,他的父母都覺得很丟臉。

"臉" (名譽) 可以是集體的, "人" (個人的基本尊嚴) 是屬於個人的 (e.g., 你丢盡了咱們高家的臉 vs. *你丢盡了咱們高家的人).

I agree with others. 丢人 could be a bit more serious than 丢脸, but since the difference is not obvious, and the "seriousness" can be quite subjective, people may use either one in their statements.
For example, you can find many people debating this issue.

丢人 and 丢脸 are quite similar, but It doesn't feel like one is more serious than the other one. so~~~
