How can I understand the meaning of the bold line? Context: A choose to think that there's a chance her childhood doll is the doll once belonged to B. This comes from a game.

A: このことに意味を見出すのも見出さないのも自由。なら、私はあると信じたい.
B: そうだな。偶然だ、ありえない、とすねるよりよっぽど素敵だ

すねる is to be sulky. The two phrases before the quotative -to are the thoughts or utterances thought or said in the sulky mood.
