    I want to know the difference between these two words.

    fēn 分 - fēn zhōng 分钟 = minute

    ‘分’ s'emploie lorsqu'on fait référence à l'heure précise.
    Le coucher du soleil est à 16h30.
    日落是在下午4点30分。:tick:
    日落是在下午4点30分钟。:cross:

    ‘分钟’ s'emploie quand on parle d'un durée.
    Je reviens dans dix minutes.
    我10分钟后回来。:tick:
    我10分后回来。:cross:

    Basically, 分 carries too many meanings so that it can be hardly understood by listeners when you just say 10分 but not 10分钟.

    I mean, they may wrongly understand you.

    我十分钟后回来。
    Undoubtedly, you will come back in ten minutes.

    我十分后回来.
    Will you come back in ten minutes or , supposed now it's 6:03, will you come back after 6:10?
