I was listening to a song in Japanese, and for some reason they mention the names Tarou (太郎) and Hanako (花子) out of the blue.
I tried figuring out why those names, but google is of no help.

It is a song from 2007 by the idol group Biyuuden if that information is of any help. The song is called じゃじゃ馬パラダイス (A Wild Woman's Paradise).
Here is the verse where they mention Tarou and Hanako.

歌え
恋するロデオ男子
乱れ じゃじゃ馬娘
ONE TWO チョップ
アリアリ Dangerous

Tarō and Hanako are typical names for boys and girls respectively. They are used when spurious names are needed as in sample forms. A real estate company may instruct you to fill out your name and your age as in: 不動産太郎 (37才)
