Hi, all

One of my friends helps me to translate a sentence into English like the following:

You should give every care to my intention, do not make me hold your hand as I teach you.

请问一下: “手把手地教” 翻译成 “hold your hand as I teach you”, 这样子可以吗?

Actually can you tell me why you say so?

For me the sentence will be:

You should be understandable and don't let me teach you step by step.

You are right, and “手把手地教” can also mean "teach someone step-by-step",it should be understand depend on context.

hold your hand as I teach you ---> teach by using hand
teach someone step-by-step ---> every situation

You can say don't have me to tell what to do, step by step.
