Hello all,

is there any shorter name for 聚四氟乙烯?
in English the official name is polytetrafluoroethylene, but is commonly called teflon.

金山词霸 says 特氟纶, Wikipedia says 特富龙 (大陆), 特氟龍 (香港) and 鐵氟龍 (台湾).
Note that I'm Mainland oriented.

Thanks in advance!

In what context do you want to use it? To professionals the English abbreviation PTFE should be understandable even if they're Chinese. In real life I've heard of 特氟纶, 特富龙 seems to be a fancy brand name :) but it gets more search results in google.

oki, then I go for 特氟纶; thanks!

You do realize that all these are direct translation from the English word "teflon".
yeah, I did realise yesterday when I was searching the translation that they are all transcriptions for teflon, in my original question I seek the common choice so my audience understands me and feel confortable with my speech and PPT.
