What does 評価済み mean?

It appears on top of the two thumbs (the highest note) you can give a series in Netflix. It looks to me like it means "finished value", so, as that makes no sense, I gather I'm missing something, but I can't find it in Google. So, what does it really mean and how does it mean it?

  • 評価済み means "finished evaluating". You have clicked on the evaluation section and gave as many thumbs as you thought the programme is worthy. Here, 評価 is not a simple "value", but more like a gerund.

I don't know about Netflix, but generally speaking, 評価済み usually means "You've already given a value on this," the opposite of 評価未 "You haven't given any value on this, not yet."

Does it make sense to you?

Oh, how silly of me, I should have noticed, but reading you made me realized: it says 評価済み over the pair of thumbs up because I had already rated the series with them. When I place the cursor about them on a series I haven't rated, it said 最高 instead; it makes perfect sense.

    Thanks.

It sounds like you have your answer already, but I'll add that the natural English translation would be just the past participle: rated. We might also add "already." [Ya] evaluado.
