「かさ、かさあ、笠を買いませんか
おじいさんは、何回も、大きい声で言いました。

(笠地蔵; Japanese Graded Readers)

Would you be so kind as to tell me what means at the end of the sentence here?

Thanks.

か is a combination of a consonant k + vowel a. That あ is a long あ (a). This is roughly the same to 買いませんか~ and 買いませんかー. 買いませんかああああ is also possible lol. This is similar to when you say ahhh in English.
