随堂测试

I heard the following on a 电视剧 (called 小舍得）recently: "昨天子悠随堂测试，考了个一百分". Does anyone know what "随堂测试" means? Is 堂 a 量词 here?

Yes. 随堂测试 is less formal, usually a quiz, or small test after the teaching session, compare other tests/exams:
期中考试 mid-term exam
高考 National College Entrance Examination
性格测试 personality test
...

In my college years, our English teacher would say let's have a quiz today. Here the word quiz is just like 随堂测试. It is a small test which the teacher gives to the students for seeing how they acquire the knowlege taught by the teacher.

I think I would say 測驗 and not 測試. Here in Taiwan, we usually say 人格測驗, 紙筆測驗, 聽力測驗, 心理測驗, 閱讀測驗, and 智力測驗. 測試 means something different.

For short tests that teachers give to a class, we might simply say 隨堂考, three syllables.
