Hello, I came across this sentence in a textbook but I'm not 100% sure the meaning of it.
제 동생이 그 소식을 들으면 기뻐할 거라는 생각이 들었어요
Does it mean I thought my sibling would be happy, but it turns out he wasn't or does it just mean that the thought occurred to me that my sibling will be happy?
