Hi Everybody. I'm reading a novel. And I need help interpreting this sentence.

"여자의 돈이나 탐내는 천한 인간. 고작 그런 인간의 배를 불려주지 않은 게 뭐가 문제야."

Especially the second part, "고작 그런 인간의 배를 불려주지 않은 게 뭐가 문제야" >> is it a figurative sentence/idiom?

thank you ^^

  • Hello, booho.

I actually need detailed context. So I just try to explain the second sentence in several ways.

고작 그런 인간의 배를 불려주지 않은 게 뭐가 문제야?

"What's wrong with not satisfying the appetite of such a vulgar man?"

"What's wrong with not enriching such a vulgar man?

"What's wrong with not lining pockets of such a vulgar man?"

I think the second example would be correct prediction given the first sentence.

The first noun phrase, a vulgar man who is greedy for a small fortune, or money from women.

    Lee,
