is it correct to say in English: . In the first round I didn´t do well, but I caught up for the next one and got enough points for the sixth place, so I made it to the final, where I got the national 10th place.

appreciate any help, :)

Ummm... we're in the English Only Forum, folks! ;)

In English, you would omit the definite article "the" and simply say "for sixth place" or "in 10th place." However, "where I got the national 10th place" sounds awkward. Could you say something like "where I finished in 10th place at the national level"?
