This bellongs to a text I'm writing. Should it be "400 people venue"or "400-people venue"?

Many thanks.

"That's what we wanted to do, to bring these bands here, to a 400(-)people venue so we could cover expenses."

If I had to use one of those versions, I'd use the hyphenated version. However, I'd prefer to use "a venue for 400 people".
