Hi everyone.

In a piece of writing (mine), under a paragraph title called 'Summary' followed by a colon which introduces a list of items in bullet points format, which variant is more suitable and/or correct?

A) SUMMARY:
• 9 years of industry experience (manufacturing, QC, QA);
• ...........
or
B) SUMMARY:
• 9-year industry experience (manufacturing, QC, QA);
• ...........

Thank you for considering my request.

    I'd prefer A. But if this résumé is targeted to a company that uses a style sheet, become acquainted with it and use its rules. One could argue that both are correct.

    I could not argue that B is right. :) In fact, it sounds as though you are talking about the age of the experience rather than how the years of experience relate to you (if this is, indeed, a CV)...

    So, it would be better to use the A variant. Thank you both, Cyberpedant and Boozer, for your comments.
