「ーー今のわたくしたちと先ほどとのわたくしたち違う点は、これから何が起きるかを知っている、という一点のみ。それを踏まえた上で状況を整理してみましょう」

Hi. I understand the meaning of the sentence. I’m just wondering what function of the で is in the construction 「A と B で違う」. I think the function is 範囲を限定する, as in 「私の実力では無理でしょう」, but I am not sure. Could you please explain it?

よろしくお願いします。

    You can say also that 「 A と B 違う点は、~ 」.
    I think it's a kind of separation.
I think it's kind of the last break in enumerated items.
For example , in speaking english , you can say 「A,B,C and D」.
Just like that in speaking Japanese, you can say 「AとBとC違う~」or 「AとBとC違う~」

    Best Regards.

    Hi. Is 「 A と B で違う点は、~ 」the same as 「 A と B とでは違う点は、~ 」?
