Here is a sentence from my revision task:
Billy has been seriously ill, and he was taken to ... hospital yesterday.
a. the b.zero c.an d.a
I use "a", but my teacher says that zero must be correct, why?

    It all depends

    I suggest you review the previous posts with respect to the curious AE/BE differences regarding "hospital"

    Unless your teacher specified British usage, he/she gets a zero for that remark.
