Hi,

What do you call a baby who is born dead or dies just after its birth or dies after some time (i.e. after some hours/after one day etc.)?

Thanks.

A baby that dies just before birth or during birth is described as stillborn. (The original meaning: "born still/not moving.) "The baby was stillborn." "The woman had three stillbirths before she had a healthy child."
I don't know a specific word for a baby that dies in the first few days of life.

Born dead is called stillborn and the occurrence is a stillbirth. Dying soon after birth is called a neonatal death.

    Confused.
Two people have already told you this is a neonatal death.

There is not a single noun for the dead baby apart at that point.
