Hi.

Context:
2 Australian detectives are talking about a possible mole in their service:
We have to give ourselves a barium meal. Making a mistake isn’t a problem. Being too proud to try and fix it, that is.

Anyone know what this could mean?
Thanks.

distribuer le même document dans des versions légèrement différentes pour localiser la taupe (mole)

    Canada; English
barium meal, barium enema, etc. : [Med.] barium sulfate solution ingested or injected before taking X-ray images; the x-rays cannot pass through the barium solution, so abnormalities can be seen on the x-ray film.

The use of the expression is here figurative, as already very nicely explained by pifname.
