Hello,

I was wondering if I could change this sentence as to have a bite or even to eat a bite.
I understand that a bite to eat is a having a snack, it's not a big meal but can I say both sentences above?

Thank you.

I'm talking about to have a bite or to eat a bite. Are they both correct?

    Thank you.

I believe the OP is asking if "have a bite to eat" could be changed to "to have a bite" or "to eat a bite". Personally, I would leave the expression as it is, with the latter sounding much stranger than the former.
