a bleak time weatherwise and financially--figure of speech?

One conception is in charge of two irrelevant ones. I assume that is a figure of speech. If so, how do we call it?

Examples:

"a bleak time both weatherwise and financially"
--bleak is used to modify both the weather and the financial conditions, which belong to two realms.

"He lost his wife and face."
--wife is a concrete idea while face (meaning reputation) is abstract. They are very loosely related but are juxtaposed here.
