a 'bunch' of pills

< Previous | Next >

What does "bunch" mean in this context?

I think these two definitions which I found in the Merriam Webster dictionary are both suitable for this case. Could you have a look for me - Is it definition 2a or 2c ? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bunch

Thanks for your help.

(Prison Break – Michael and Lincoln are talking about their “escaping plan” in the prison chapel. “PUGNAc” is an insulin blocker which lowers the insulin levels in the body.)

Michael: There's a little hitch in getting the PUGNAc, that's all. They don't exactly stock it at the commissary.
Lincoln: You're telling me this whole thing's riding on a bunch of pills.
