    Hello, how would one translate "napped by" in "A career criminal nabbed by Mexican authorities is placed in a tough prison where he learns to survive with the help of a young boy", a synopsis of the film "Get the Gringo"? Thank you!

    En inglés, 'nabbed' es bastante informal. Creo que usar verbos como aprehender cambia el tono del texto.

    Creo que en el contexto dado no quedaría fuera de lugar, pero entiendo lo que dices, es un poco más "elevado". Por otra parte, 'pillado' no es común por mis lares.
